Our safety program is aggressive and it works – in the year 2004, 2005, 2006 & 2007 we were able to work the entire calendar year without any days lost to accident. We are very proud to say that our 100+person work force toiled away for more than 200,000 productive hours per year without one day lost to injury caused by work related accident. We are on the same track for 2008 without any days lost to accident.
We stress a very strong commitment to safety; our uperintendents and our Foremen are the on site Safety Vigilance Team. All of our job-sites receive regular extensive safety inspections that are conducted by an outside Consulting Firm, and each inspection produces a detailed report with comments on every trade and every process - Photos of the work in process as it relates to safety are included in the report. All unsafe procedures are dealt with and corrected immediately. All of our field personnel receive regular training on job skills and safe work habits.
We conduct OSHA 10 Hour Outreach Training Sessions every year for all of our Superintendents and Field Foremen with a strong emphasis on consistent daily monitoring for potential hazards or unsafe conditions. By taking an aggressive, proactive approach, we are able to focus on rewards for reventing accidents rather than regrets for accidents that could have been prevented.
